The same goes for Omega Oils. A year ago, you couldn't move for the media saying 'Fish oils make your kids smarter, calmer, happier...etc'. Well I am happy to say, I was taken in by the hype and am very glad I was... the effects on my two girls is beyond belief. So as regards Vitamin D, yes I am going to get some of that too. Like the person before said, there is no point waiting around for the perfect diet of the elusive British sunshine. Hope that helps. Obviously Vitamin D falls into this category and lets face it, the UK in the middle of winter is not the best place to catch a tan so a little ray of Vitamin D is hard to find.

That said, there are lots of food groups that are difficult to get from actual food/diet and so supplements once more seem to be the answer. Personally I think it is about balance. There are so many people who say supplements are unnecessary and food should be all we need but that open up a whole debate about the quality of food and the methods by which it is processed.

But as far as Vitamin D goes, personally I am up for all I can get from food, supplements and a great day on the beach... that will be the one day of British Summertime we all long for.
